Control your Blood Pressure and Cholesterol
- Control Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Healthy Maine Walks Card: Highlights the importance of brisk walking as an effective way to better manage blood pressure and cholesterol. The card also references the website where indoor and outdoor walking routes can be accessed.
- Resources for Screeners: These guides quickly go through the steps of taking an accurate blood pressure and cholesterol and suggested follow-up
Know Your Numbers
- Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Poster: for provider exam rooms. Poster includes sticky nores for provider to record patients blood pressure and cholesterol values, which the patient can take home as a reminder and motivator to regularly monitor and manage their numbers.
- Poster Sticky Notes: More sticky notes for when you run out.

15 minute PDF | 30 minute PDF | 15 minute Powerpoint | 30 minute Powerpoint: These presentations can be utilized as a PowerPoint, or in a less formal discussion format. There are 15 and 30-minute versions to accommodate various times and audiences. The primary focus of the presentations is to teach community audiences the symptoms of heart attack and the importance of calling 911. They also cover heart attack risk factors and ideas to reduce risk. - Trainers’ Guides – 15 minute | 30 minute: These Guides are designed to help trainers deliver consistent heart attack awareness information. There are Guides for both 15 and 30-minute presentations/discussions, which include slides from each of the Community Presentations, as well as notes pages to assist trainers with content and ideas for audience participation.
