Healthy Weight Awareness Campaign
The Healthy Weight Awareness Campaign provides Maine families with information to take simple steps to keep children and families healthy and active in order to reduce Maine's obesity epidemic. We focus on families with limited income, and the general public is a secondary audience. Members of the audience participate in focus groups to identify and help define the messages of the campaign.
Newsprint, television, and radio messages are created, with posters and direct mail information packets used as support materials.
